Q: How did the band get it's name?
A: Al Kooper needed a name for the band since he had already booked a gig, He saw a Johnny Cash album called "Blood Sweat & Tears" and the rest is history.

A. Founding Father Bobby Colomby left in 1977.

A. No David was the second singer (after Al Kooper) and sang all the bands hits.
Q. Was BS&T in the Woodstock film?
A. No, the bands management,not realizing the impact the festival would have on pop culture, refused to allow the film's producer to include BS&T in their movie. The fee offered by producers was a buyout of $7,500.00.
Q. Did BS&T take a helicopter into the festival?
A. No, The band drove in and back out after their performance.
Q. Was any one member responsible for the artistic vision of the band?
A. Yes Bobby Colomby's Jazz background and love for great musicians was key to BS&T's success. Bobby still guides BS&T to this day.

A. When a band member leaves the musical director brings in a few choices and the band as a whole decides if he or she is BS&T materiel.
